Sniper Training & Evaluation

Welcome to Bush Wookie Instruction. In this course, we'll go over a 2 hour training period to get you up to speed what we want and expect you to be in the role of a sniper. After the 2 hour Block, if you need more time or instruction, we'll schedule some more, then we'll setup for the Evaluation process. Remember we don't want you to fail, but we have standards to adhere to, and you can always try again.

Things that we want to see in our Snipers:

1. Someone who doesn't need to always pull the trigger.

2. Someone who can operate without constant explanation of orders/intent/mission.

3. We're looking for someone who has the patience to support the Main body, and be a wasp on the wall; Able to pull the trigger when needed, or not pull the trigger at all.

4. Communication will always be a proponent in all Military training and education, this is no different here.

5. Someone who can slow down when needed, but be fast when critical.

Things that will Disqualify you from this Sniper Course:

1. Fail to follow instruction.

2. Fail to adhere to what we want in our Snipers (see list above).

3. Rushing through this course and just trying to become "Sniper Qualified".

4. Game-ifying the Evaluation process/using cheats, or some bug to make you successful.

Final note: Should you pass the certification, we expect you to be vague about the evaluation process. It's necessary that we identify how you react and respond to directives and mission tasking AT THAT TIME. Knowing before hand will only fail us in the future.

Sniper School

The Sniper School will be a 2 hour block. If needed more, we will continue for more, or schedule another continuance of training.

1. Role explanation & Gear Setup

2. Theory & Fieldcraft

3. Rangefinding & Wind Estimation

4. Live Fire Ballistics Practice

5. Foundation Mission Drills

Evaluation

This Block will be a 1 to 2 hour block of testing an analysis. We want more than just a trigger man, we want someone who can articulate their thoughts and discriminate from needing to take the shot and think about the bigger picture.

1. Gear and Loadout Prep

2. Ranging and Spotter Communication

3. Target ID & Discrimination

4. Stealth Movement & Camoflage

5. Final Scenario
