Get Started

From Charlie-Mike

Read thoroughly, step by step.

ARMA 3

  • Have Arma 3 Installed
- You'll need Arma 3 and the Apex DLC to play with us. All other DLC is optional (but recommended).
  • Find our current Mod Pack and download it.
  • In your Arma 3 Launcher > Top right hand corner "Preset" > Bottom of list "Import" > Direct to downloaded Modpack
  • Rename Modpack to what chapter we're in (e.g. Chapter 9)

TEAMSPEAK

  • Download Teamspeak (as of 3/21/25 we use 3.6.2 64 bit) here > Teamspeak
  • Install
  • Make sure your Nickname matches the same Nickname of Discord & Arma 3.
  • Establish a push to talk button in the settings.
  • Get the TeamSpeak Server Info from our Discord #server-Info
  • Connect to Charlie-Mike's TS (TeamSpeak).
- Sometimes connecting to TS can take a few moments, be patient (The server is a sleepy boy).
  • With TS Still open find the "Self" drop down menu > Sound Pack > Sounds Deactivated
- This will mute everyone moving in and out of channels, connecting, disconnecting etc. It can be a bit much if left on.

TFAR

  • With your Arma 3 Launcher open and on the Mods Screen.
  • Find Task Force Radio Arrowhead Radio (BETA!!!) and click it to expand the mod page.
  • In the bottom right of the mod page click on the elipses "..."
  • Click Open Folder in Windows Explorer.
  • It will give you a warning not to edit anything in these folders.
  • Find the Task Force Radio Arrowhead Radio (BETA!!!) folder and open it.
  • Click on the "teamspeak" folder.
  • Click on the "task_force_radio".
  • A Teamspeak window will open showing what Plugin is about to install (TFAR etc)
  • Click install, if you're teamspeak is still open it'll ask you to restart it.
  • Reopen Teamspeak and in the Tools Drop down menu click > Options
  • Click on the "Addons" selection on the left hand tool bar.
  • Find Task Force Radio Arrowhead Radio, and ensure that the button is highlighted and says "Enabled".
- If it's off it'll say "disabled" and it won't be highlighted.
  • You can also confirm it's on by joining our Teamspeak and click on yourself.
  • In the right window pane of TS you'll see "Task Force Radio Status" Don't worry about the other jargon.
  • When we load into the game it'll automatically pull you into a channel we designate and you'll be in proximity chat.
  • Although it's a bit dated, we have a video that can help as well TFAR Install

Functions Check

  • Now that we've got it all installed and working, lets start Arma up and see if everything is vibing.
- Sometimes when you get to the Main Splash Page you might see some errors, don't worry it'll still work, we test our mod packs before implementing them.
  • Once in the Main Screen, in the top right hand corner is your Profile. The default profile will revert to your windows username, and won't allow yourself to change the name. Create a new Profile (this will reset all bindings to default), and ensure your nickname matches your Discord and Teamspeak.
  • At the bottom of the Main Arma game window you should see a bunch of icons present, if you hover over them you'll see the mods that are active.
  • Lets get into the game and validate one step further. Go into "editor" found on the Main Screen.
- Pick any map
- On the right hand select any soldier and throw it on the ground
- Right click that soldier and click "Play as character"

-Make sure that everything is functioning properly, if you get an error that causes the game to quit, confirm mods and then revalidate your game if need be- If you still can't get it to work, be sure to reach out for help in Discord.
