Sessions & Operations

  • Sessions are every Wednesday Nights @ 8 PM EST/7 PM CST. You'll see these operations posted in "son-announcements".
  • Alternate Operations are scheduled on the weekends. Reference the Calendar in Discord for these Operations. These will be posted in "aon-announcements".
  • At the end of Chapters we typically conduct a large Joint Op Event that typically runs on the weekend. These sessions typically include other units (Ref: Joint OP), and an updated mod list. Be sure to read the information for these operations.
  • Training is conducted once to twice a month. At the current time, training is one hour prior to Wednesdays Operations. You can find out more about our training and requirements for specific slots here: Training
  • Be sure to RSVP by checking the ✅ on the post in the "son-announcements". We typically lock special assets in-mission until we get enough manpower available for the mission; eg. Locking a helicopter until we get 12 to 15 people.

Joining During a Session Night:

  • We highly recommend joining the server and TeamSpeak roughly 15 - 20 minutes prior to session night to alleviate issues mid-session.
-This will allow you to confirm your Mods, ensure there's no conflicts or missing Mods and get help if need be.-
  • All Server info, including Teamspeak will be in the #Server-Info Discord Channel.
  • The server will typically be running a showcase mission set allowing you to mess around with vehicles, inventory and equipment.
  • Around 8pm/7pm (EST/CST) the server will switch missions to the mission of the night. We typically run one mission a night (not including TvT's or other silly missions)

Slotting Screen

  • When the mission changes to a slotting screen, we ask that you remain quiet unless you need to communicate something. Understand that with 12 to 20 people in the Teamspeak all at once, it would be a nightmare to communicate through that many people talking. However feel free to use "/" chat to talk, ask a question, or request something.
"/" Chat in game is prohibited While in game.
  • Typically the "OPCOM, or Commander" for the night will call their slots the way they want to develop their plan. Slotting starts with Leadership Roles > Medics > Special > then All others.
  • If this is your first time playing, we will try and attach you with a senior representative of Charlie-Mike so they can guide you through the mission. We suggest you try a traditional rifleman position for your first outing.
  • There are specific slots that require necessary requirements & training to be able to choose them. Some of these slots are; Pilots (Rotary & Fixed Wing), Sniper, Recon, Zeus, and Higher Command.
  • While at this screen we highly recommend you take the time to open a notepad, or grab a piece of paper and pen and jot down some important things so you know what team you're part of, who's your direct supervisor, and the others. (reference photo⬇️ )

  • After all players have been slotted, the Admin will move the mission to the Briefing Screen. As Arma is operating a pretty old engine, sometimes things take some time, and this is no exception, especially if there's a lot going on in the mission or some overzealous mission maker adds 52 map markers

Briefing Screen

  • While on the Briefing Screen, we ask again that you remain quiet and respectful.
  • Do not draw on the map, don't doodle, as appetizing as it may seem it can very distracting.
  • At this time the Admin, Mission Maker or Command for the night will read from the Briefing.
  • Most of the information is good context, but if you're overwhelmed, at minimum study the AO, and pay special attention to the Mission, Execution, and Admin notes. This information is critical to know so you can be informed on what is needed to complete the mission, as well as if the admin has special rules put into play.
  • At the end, anyone who has further questions will be given an opportunity to ask.

In Game

  • In most cases, you'll only get one life in game. So tread carefully, support your team, your buddy next to you and stay in the fight to win.
  • In some missions you'll have loadouts issued to you, in others you'll have an opportunity to select your gear and equipment.
If the option is the latter, you may ONLY select from the box that's in front of you when you spawn. You are NOT to obtain items from other boxes. In missions we want specific loadouts to be filled, we don't want all of our soldiers all AT, or Autorifleman, we need an even spread.
  • There can be an overwhelming set of options here, so if you're not sure what to bring, ask your Team leader, or someone next to you who can give you a good answer.
* Respectful reminder - No friendly fire
* Don't "META" mark the map. What this means is if you're out of earshot of everyone and you mark the map with something that someone could know where you are. "This is Bob-Joe I'm here" or "2-1's Current POS".
* Team Leaders and Commands will mark the map where they want you to go, if you get there, or you're off the marker, use the radio to update your location.

Leadership and Following Orders

  • We're not in the military and we don't do silly things like expecting you to call people by their rank, or if you mess up do E-Pushups.
  • We do however expect you to follow the orders of your Leadership even if you don't agree with the order. We run with the concept of "Failing Forward". This means that we want Team leaders to try something and fail and learn. We don't expect them to be perfect and execute flawless.
  • We also want people to step forward try leading, and not have to worry about back-seat leaders making comments or telling them what to do. If you're a new team leader, feel free to ask for opinions and suggestions.
* There's something special that you might get to witness, when things go wrong unintentionally and watching the chaos unfold and turn into a wonderfully fun stressful situation.
* If you have concerns, comments, suggestions, or input WRITE IT DOWN and put it into an AAR comment. This is a good opportunity for you to use that handy dandy Notepad and keep track of things.
* Although sometimes it might sting, getting input as a new leader is worth its weight in gold.
  • When it comes time to pull the trigger, do it with thought, not emotion. This isn't COD, this is a Military Tactical Simulator. So when it's time to break contact, don't stay behind to score "points" and get kills. We don't like Lone wolf's here.

In Game Emotional Intelligence

  • We're all human here, everyone has flaws, but we can work together to mitigate them and help each other be better person.
  • If you bring in a bad attitude and angry emotions You will affect other's OP night.
  • If you're having a bad day feel free to sit out the mission if you feel like it's going to rub off on others.
  • If you're mid session and you're having issues, becoming frustrated and can't manage your emotions, feel free to tell your immediate supervisor you need to go. Just DM someone (your buddy) or Leadership to let them know and we'll keep it on the downlow, we're not out here to shame anyone, unless you add 52 markers to the map.
  • At some point shit will get crazy and your frustration will bleed out. Recognize it, try to mitigate it, and apologize to anyone you pawned it off on.
  • Most people don't automatically come with the skill of being calm during chaos - it's a learned skill.
Watch this Video and learn to enjoy the suffering and chaos Jocko Willink "Good"
  • Please don't show up to a session so high or drunk you turn into a kitten we have to herd. This isn't a daycare and we don't find it fun or comical. If it turns into an issue we'll ask you to leave.

Death/Spectating

  • If you have bravely fought for Charlie-Mike and perished for your brothers in arms, welcome to the best seat in the house (besides zeus).
  • If you died because of Arma 3 aka "Got Arma'ed" send a ping to the Zeus/Admin and ask if you can reslot. Arma can be funky sometimes and weird things happen. You'll know when you get Arma'ed.
  • Depending on the mission and other things, we sometimes allow re-slotting. Be sure to ask in the appropriate mission channel and ping someone in leadership (SGT and up) and we'll get you squared away.
  • Sometimes dying can be frustrating, so make sure to take a deep breath before starting vent some toxic spew that your animalistic brain wants to shout out.
  • Here in spectator, voice is still active, so other's that are dead can also hear you. You can zoom around the map, take pretty pictures of your friends and watch them suffer without you. We definitely don't cackle endlessly while they search for my corpse as their heads begin to spin

Post Op

  • At the end of the mission when we win or lose, we like to chat together to get the feel of how everything is while it's still fresh.
  • If it's getting late for you and you need to run, all we ask is that you drop your thoughts in the appropriate Operations Channel.
  • If you're new here, or an experienced player, we hope you can give us some insight as to what went well and maybe what we can work on to improve.
  • This is another important moment in communication. We're looking for constructive criticism.
Comments that are NOT Constructive "This mission sucked!", or "I didn't get to shoot my gun at all!"
Comments that ARE constructive "I disliked this mission because I felt like we were improperly used....", or " I really did not enjoy the mission because we did not have enough enemy to fight...", and finally "BriCro made me walk for 8 Kilometers, laughing and giggling the entire way, why does he hate us?"

  • All we ask is that you express your thoughts so its more than a juvenile response. We can take tough comments about the mission not being made well, or not handled correctly, but you just have to word it effectively so we can understand. IF you cannot, talk with a friend or leadership via Discord/DM and we'll work with you on how to get to the bottom of what you're trying to say.

  • Some of us need time to think and mull over everything before making giving feedback, thats 100% fine, many of us feel that way as well. Please feel free to post your thoughts and feedback in the appropriate operations channel. More likely than not this will prompt good discussion about how we can improve.

  • The Debrief channel is where admin will post a big AAR (After Action Report/Review) about the mission and they're point of view. Feel free to comment in the Operations channel if something was missed and you can fill in the gaps.
